Cette année, nous avons choisi de réunir jf•XR et journée annuelle du GT-RV au sein d’un événement commun qui se tiendra les 14, 15 et 16 octobre 2026 dans les locaux du LISN et de l’Université Paris-Saclay à Orsay (à 1 h au sud de Paris et à 20 min de la gare Massy-TGV).
La communauté académique et industrielle est invitée à venir échanger et partager ses avancées et bonnes pratiques par le biais de communication scientifiques (exposés / posters), de démonstrations, de retours d'expérience et de présentation des nouveaux besoins et solutions industrielles.

Extended Reality (XR) is a comprehensive term that includes Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), Virtual Reality (VR), and AI glasses. XR bridges physical and digital worlds, creating interactive, immersive experiences that merge with the real world. It offers numerous applications across education, training, manufacturing, collaborative 3D design, art, and multiplayer gaming.
Despite these benefits, XR systems introduce unique security, privacy, and trust challenges due to the intimate connection between users, their XR devices, and their immediate environments. The potential attacks can involve information flooding to induce latency and physical discomfort, injecting misleading virtual content to distract or deceive users, subverting personal area networks to create confusion, spoofing alarms, assessing user status through eye tracking, and accessing onboard cameras to gather environmental information without the user's awareness. Additionally, XR apps can access sensitive real-time inputs like eye gaze, head movement, hand gestures, and even biosignals, and users' immediate environment. These signals, while critical for immersive experiences, open up novel attack surfaces such as keystroke inference, emotional profiling, and behavioral tracking.

The AVARIG2026 conference is an initiative stemming from the continuation of the foundational AVAR conference series with a new added focus on Immersive Gaming, resulting in a joint AVAR/Audio for Gaming conference under the new AES TC Immersive Media and Gaming.
S'appuyant sur un ensemble de données comprenant 53 politiques issues de 23 pays et de l'Union européenne, le nouveau document de l'OCDE intitulé « An overview of national strategies and policies for immersive technologies » (Aperçu des stratégies et politiques nationales en matière de technologies immersives) montre que l'élaboration des politiques dans ce domaine reste relativement récente et fragmentée. Le rapport souligne l'importance de la coopération internationale, compte tenu de la nature transfrontalière des technologies immersives et de la nécessité d'une interopérabilité et de normes communes.
