Comme prévu, ce mois de septembre a été placé sous le signe de la rencontre de Meta, la fameuse Meta Connect 2025 ! Vous trouverez dans notre veille plusieurs articles qui vous aideront à lister toutes les annonces faites dans le domaine de la XR. Si, comme beaucoup, vous étiez intéressé par le développement de la gamme de lunettes connectées, vous êtes peut-être resté un peu sur votre faim. C’est la malédiction des gens qui travaillent dans le domaine, ils et elles sont difficilement impressionnées par des fonctionnalités qui ne sont pas si originales 🙂 Disons que les choses avancent et que les lunettes « ++ » arrivent (lentement) dans notre paysage. Pour la réalité augmentée, on va entendre un peu 🙂

We are excited to invite you to the 5th running of the AREA Workshop Event, a highly anticipated gathering of industry experts, on September 13th and 14th at Proto in Gateshead, UK.
The rapid development of consumer-grade augmented- (AR) and virtual-reality (VR) devices has created interest in leveraging these technologies across a wide range of medical applications including rehabilitation, image-guided surgery, and diagnostics. In this presentation, we will provide an overview of current AR/VR medical devices and applications in the medical space. We will discuss some of the evaluation challenges for AR/VR devices in medicine and provide summary of the Medical Extended Reality (MXR) research program in the Office of Science and Engineering Laboratories (OSEL) in CDRH. Finally, we will highlight the ongoing regulatory science research in the MXR program to address the current evaluation gaps and challenges.
